Managing Director

Tewogboye Jegede

Tewo Jegede was called to the Nigerian Bar after obtaining her LL.B degree from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and subsequently earned her LL.M degree from the University of Northampton, United Kingdom. She started her work experience at First Bank of Nigeria Plc as an NYSC staff. She later commenced her post NYSC working experience as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser at Flying Eagle Shipping Company Limited in 2002. Subsequently, she worked in various law firms as Associate Counsel before joining the Lagos State Judicial Service Commission in 2005 as a Research Personnel under the auspices of a British Council/DFID initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State. She was formally trained in Court Administration by Ijeoma & Associates, an indigenous training outfit based in New Jersey, USA.

Tewo has held many positions including, Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Head of Legal Services with oversight responsibility for corporate governance. She was Group Head, Corporate Services with responsibilities for Legal Services & Company Secretariat at FBN Mortgages Limited, an erstwhile Primary Mortgage Bank in Nigeria. Prior to joining UTL, Tewo Jegede was Senior Legal Adviser at Dangote Sugar Plc. She became a certified IFC/ICSAN Trainer on corporate governance in 2017. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).

In her quest to break new frontiers, Tewo Jegede proceeded to the prestigious Harvard University for acquisition of skills in business negotiations. Her training at the Harvard Law School has bolstered her proficiency in business negotiations/dispute resolution.  She also has a certificate in Employee Relations Law from the Institute of Applied Management & Law, California USA.

Tewo Jegede is a career woman and a goal getter. Her resilience in the pursuit of greater goals and hard work has earned her recognition in various places she has worked. Her stellar performances at FBN Mortgages Limited and Dangote Sugar Plc earned her a commendation letter and awards respectively.

Bolarinwa Titiloye

Bolarinwa Titiloye is a seasoned leader with over 14 years of combined experience in leadership, strategic planning, and relationship management, focused on fostering growth and delivering sustainable results. She has held senior roles including Head of Institutional Trust at United Capital Trustees, National Sales Manager at FCMB Asset Management, and Head of Client Advisory at Cordros Capital Limited.

She is an alumna of the Senior Management Programme (SMP 91) at Lagos Business School, with exchange programmes at INSEAD Business School and IPAG Business School in Paris.

She is also a member of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management and a student member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), UK, and is widely recognized as a proven leader with a strong track record of excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth

Anthony Akpati

Anthony Akpati is a trained Trust Advisor, MBA graduate, and TEP Charter holder with over 12 years of experience across public trust, commercial trust, family office, and fiduciary administration.

He is an experienced leader with more than seven years of proven success managing teams, projects, and complex trust transactions within regulated capital market environments.

Anthony is a strong compliance and governance professional with hands-on oversight of SEC regulations, AML/CFT and KYC frameworks, and regulatory engagements, maintaining a record of zero sanctions.

He also brings deep expertise in security trusteeship and infrastructure financing, including state and private bonds, syndicated lending, asset recovery, and high-value debt transactions.

Maj. General Jamil Sarham (Rtd)

General Jamil Sarham is a name that evokes national service, military distinction, business accomplishment, and social impact, for a man of simplicity, compassion, loyalty, integrity, industry and excellence.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has risen to become one of Nigeria’s most respected defense minds, with a legacy defined by courage, operational brilliance, leadership, and transformational impact. His deep expertise in counter-terrorism, insurgency response, and oil-related crime suppression has positioned him as a preeminent authority within Nigeria’s defense and security architecture. He has led complex missions, shaped counter-insurgency strategies, and contributed significantly to restoring peace and stability in volatile regions including the North-East and the Niger-Delta regions of Nigeria. Beyond the battlefield, General Sarham has demonstrated profound understanding of military doctrine and policy formulation. His insights have guided national security thinking, combining field experience with strategic foresight to deliver solutions to mitigate evolving threats in the 21st century. Through mentorship, training, and institutional strengthening, he has cultivated a new generation of officers, instilling in them the core values of honour, resilience, and tactical excellence.

In the course of his illustrious career, General Sarham has undertaken several military courses at the tactical and strategic levels including the Infantry Young Officers’ Course, Company Commanders’ Course and Battalion Commanders’ Course all at the prestigious Nigerian Army School of Infantry, Jaji; the Junior and Senior Staff Courses at the revered Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji; he attended the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) – Kuru, the Foremost Think Tank Institute in Nigeria as a participant of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 34 and a proud recipient of the highly coveted ‘Member of the National Institute’ (mni) badge of honour. General Sarham is a member of the Alumni association of the National Institute (AANI). As Commandant of the prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) General Sarham played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of military leaders. His visionary leadership and commitment to excellence transformed the institution, fostering a culture of innovation and intellectual curiosity, earning recognition amongst military academies across the globe. General Sarham also commanded several units including the 7 Amphibious Battalion, 7 Demonstration Battalion, and the 7 Brigade (Bde) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Lake Chad Region. His leadership and strategic guidance while serving as the Commander 7 Bde MNJTF ensured that Boko Haram Terrorists were decimated in the Lake Chad regions. As General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division Nigerian Army and Deputy Force Commander of Operation DELTA SAFE, his leadership was pivotal in curbing threats and significantly enhancing security across the Niger Delta region.

His foray into the business world after active military service has been marked by both self-reinvention and an optimization of his wealth of experience, combined with resilience, establishing a trail of achievements and rising to dominate the boardroom as he did the theatre of war. He has established business interests and investments across various sectors of the economy by unlocking and building his ability to identify business opportunities, take calculated risks, and successfully manage corporate ventures, while leveraging strategic partnerships and harnessing human capital through team work. From Agribusiness, Private Security, Pharmaceuticals, Hospitality, and Real Estate to the Financial Market, he manages businesses and sits on the board of corporate organizations, deploying his rich experience and vast network to drive and support the success of the various companies. Among others, he is the Founder and CEO of New Guard Security and Consultancy Services Limited, a leading Private Security Company in the Oil & Gas Industry and Public Sector domains, as well as Inna Farms Limited, an integrated and major agribusiness company; he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for EMIE Pharmaceuticals Nigeria and Nationwide Construction Limited.

General Sarham also engages in extensive humanitarian endeavors and welfare outreach to the less privileged of society, driven by a compassionate heart, his faith and a deep sense of social responsibility. The Nura Sarham Community Memorial Clinic and Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Skills Acquisition Centre, all operating under the Hajiya Inna Foundation are impactful platforms that General Sarham has established in his effort to positively touch the lives of people through philanthropic endeavors, giving back to society.

Tony Edeh

Tony is a seasoned Financial Analyst & Venture Capitalist.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of New Frontiers Developments; a venture capital investment firm focused on SMEs.

His wealth of experience ranges from Investment & Portfolio Management, Strategy, Financial Risk Management, Modelling, Financial Reporting and Operations Management. In his role as CIO of New frontiers Developments, Tony originated and executed several landmark investments and private equity deals which has gained international recognition. He has worked on several green and brownfield transactions covering Oil & Gas, Power, Agriculture, Real Estate, Hospitality, Healthcare, Technology, Financial Services and Impact Investing. Tony was part of the leadership team that successful transformed an ailing mortgage bank and positioned it as one of the major lenders in the Nigeria financial services sector.

He started his career with the audit firm of KPMG Professional Services (formerly Arthur Andersen) where he spent nearly a decade. While at KPMG, he led various risk management projects on Basel II, Stress Testing Financial Institutions, Asset and Liability Management and Credit & Market Risk Management. He was also accredited by KPMG International to provide advisory services to clients in Credit Risk and Economic Capital Modelling.

He graduated from the University of Ilorin with a degree in Computer Science as the overall best student and attended INSEAD Business School (France and Singapore) for his MBA where he was an INSEAD-Goldman Sachs Scholar. While at INSEAD he was the leader of the Emergent Young African Entrepreneurs. He is also an Alumni of the Wharton Program on International Housing Finance. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA).

He has also undertaken several professional training courses across the globe. In the year 2014, he was nominated amongst six Nigerians for the Desmond Tutu Fellowship program.

He currently sits on the board of several companies in the financial services industry.

Chioma Okigbo

Chioma is a Focused, Creative, Passionate, Energetic, Innovative and Loyal person, who strongly believes in relationships and knows that with hard work, integrity and the right skills, many doors of opportunity will open for anyone.

A 1987 graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Chioma obtained a B.Sc in Economics. Other formal education has come in the form of various courses attended during her career. She is a pioneer alumnus of the INSEAD management program, Transition to General Management (2012) and also a Harvard Business School alumnus (2020). All these courses she undertook have enabled her toacquire strong skills in strategy development and execution, policy setting and execution, Entrepreneurship, relationship management and customer service, business and product development, and Financial Planning.

Chioma is the founder and C.E.O. of Modd Management Company Limited (MODD), an investment & asset administrative company with Assets Under Administration of overN85billion, which was grown from scratch. MODD was founded in August 2016 to manage assets on behalf of clients and provide a single view of all their investment assets.

A serial investor, Chioma also co-founded Rekit Financial Advisory Ltd, a SEC-regulated corporate investment advisory firm that provides a platform for independent and objective investment decisions for corporates and individuals.

Prior to setting up these businesses, Chioma worked in Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM) Limited for 16years and held the Managing Director role for two of their businesses over a 7-year period. She also worked in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc from May 1995and left in 2000 as a Deputy Manager.

Whilst at ARM, Chioma served on the boards of several companies including MIXTA Africa for 7 years and currently serves on several other boards including MODD Management Company Ltd, Coronation Asset Management Company Ltd, PPC Nigeria Limited, Guinea Insurance Plc and Grayson’s Trust Ltd. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Lagos, where she serves as the Seargent-At-Arms and serves as a Trustee on several non-profit boards such as Real Estate Unite, DesignShark & Mzuzah Africa as she remains passionate about giving back to the society.

Debo Fagbami

Engr. Debo Fagbami, FNSE is the Chief Operating Officer of Xenergi Limited and the Managing Director of Nedogas Development Company Limited, a joint venture gas development and infrastructure company established under the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) partnership initiatives.

Engr. Fagbami holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan (1995) and an Executive MBA from Henley Business School, United Kingdom (2008). With over three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, he has built a distinguished career spanning technical, operational, and leadership roles across multiple technical disciplines.

He has made significant contributions to professional associations within the energy sector. He is a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), where he served as Chairman of the Port Harcourt Section and later as Chair of the Nigerian Council in 2019. He is also a past Council Member of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), where he held the position of Publicity Secretary between 2014 and 2016.

As a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Engr. Fagbami continues to play a pivotal role in advancing engineering and energy development in Nigeria. He currently serves as an Executive Director at Oida Energy and sits on the Board of Siri Global Investment & Consultancy Company, operator of the Ke Marginal Field (PPL 248).

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he is deeply committed to talent development and mentorship. He has guided numerous young professionals across diverse engineering disciplines, reinforcing his dedication to building capacity and fostering leadership within the energy industry.

Obinna Ajoku (SAN)

Obinna Kingsley Ajoku is the chairman of Pearl and Diamond Properties Ltd, Pearl and Diamond Hotel Ltd, and Pearl signature Hotel Ltd. He is also the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser of First Generation Mortgage Bank Ltd. He graduated from University of Jos and Nigerian law School Lagos where he obtained LLB (Hons.)

Barr Obinna is legal practitioner with over 15 years’ experience. He started his legal profession with Ijeoma Opara & Co as a Solicitor. Due to his focus and strong desire to attain success, he started his own law firm which became a very successful firm called Obinna Ajoku & Co (Legal Practitioners & Notary Public) as Head of Chambers where he works until date.

Seyi Bella

Seyi Bella has a thorough understanding of financing documentation and the ability to hold a multi-party transaction together

Seyi primarily advises on project finance and corporate finance transactions but also participates in M&A and capital markets transactions. She advises local and international banks and financial institutions on various types of financing transactions covering several sectors, including real estate, telecoms, power, oil and gas, shipping and trade etc. Her emphasis is on secured lending and asset finance and she has advised clients in a number of syndicated lending, refinancing, and debt offering transactions. Her cheerful disposition, excellent communication skills and positive attitude underscore her great personality.

She obtained an LL.B from the University of Lagos, B.L from the Nigerian Law School and an LLM from Harvard Law School. Seyi is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and also the New York Bar Association. Her practice areas include Corporate and Commercial Law, Project Finance, Bank and Loan Syndication.

A trust is a legal relationship in which one or more persons or entities (trustees) holds legal title to property and manages it for the benefit of one or more persons or entities (beneficiaries).

Does Grayson’s Trust need to review my trust document before I can appoint Grayson’s Trust?

As part of the process of naming Grayson’s Trust as Trustee, we request an opportunity to conduct a review of the draft Trust to confirm that the Trustees provisions or any changes thereto are incorporated accordingly, and to ensure that Grayson’s Trust can execute their fiduciary and legal responsibilities pursuant to the terms of the Trust.

If I appoint Grayson's Trust as my Trustee, can I change it later?

Yes, you can amend your trust at any time to replace Grayson’s Trust as successor trustee or remove Grayson’s Trust once we are serving as trustee at any time and for any reason if the parties holding the power to do so no longer wish for Grayson’s Trust to act.

If I have assets outside of Grayson's Trust in my trust, can I still appoint Grayson's Trust as my Trustee?

Yes, Grayson’s Trust may accept trust assets outside of Grayson’s Trust. All cash and marketable securities will be held in custody at Grayson’s Trust, if they are not already, once we begin acting as trustee. For example, Grayson’s Trust may accept the following types of trust assets:

  • Cash
  • Marketable Securities (bonds, fixed income instruments etc)
  • Life Insurance Policies
  • Annuities
  • Residential Real-Estate (owner occupied, vacation or rental properties)
  • Promissory Notes
